The Listening Space Zoom Meetings

A space for positive mental health and wellbeing. You can chat individually with a peer-volunteer and/or participate in our peer-support group.

The Listening Space is a peer support space where you can share, listen, and support each other. There will be discussions and activities exploring how the group look after their mental health and wellbeing.

This group is facilitated by a staff member and volunteers with lived experience of mental health recovery. We will listen with a compassionate and non-judgemental ear to whatever you want to speak about.

We are impartial and respect your confidentiality. We will not provide advice or counselling.

This group meets online via Zoom.

The Thrive Team are offering a selection of services on of which is a drop-in access clinic.

They also provide a wealth of helpful , information on support and local resources in the Edinburgh area.

The Mental Health Information Station

Is a useful drop in service organised by occupational therapists and community mental health nurses, providing an opportunity to speak to a range of services, familiarise yourself with resources and activities available within the community. Open every Thursday 10.30 am to 3.00 pm.

Health In Mind Resource Centre

 

Has a wide range of services including drop in sessions, educational resources and counselling. The Edinburgh Centre has has specific guided self help, information resources, and sexual abuse counselling.

Mental Health at Christmas

Struggling With Mental Health During the Festive Period?

Edinburgh Crisis Centre offer emotional and practical support to people experiencing a mental health crisis and are open 24/7 every day of the year. They can offer same day telephone, video call or face to face support. To contact them please call 0808 801 0414.

Breathing Space is a telephone service for anyone suffering from low mood or anxiety and would benefit from having someone to talk to. They will listen, offer advice and provide information to different services where appropriate. To contact them please call 0800 83 85 87.

Campaign Against Living Miserably also offer telephone support 5pm – midnight every day of the year with a particular focus on men’s mental health. To contact them please call 0800 58 58 58.
