Young Dads, Old Dads, New Dads, Neonatal Dads, ANY DADS! All dads and families are welcome to access the Dad's Rock services. From music lessons, trips away, workshops and support groups, there is something for every Dad!
Dad's Rock overall aim is to: Improve outcomes for children in Scotland to ensure the best start in life by providing support to Dads and families.
They do this through:
Dad Groups - Weekly groups for Dads/male carers and Children (0-5yrs). Outcomes - Dads and children develop closer relationships. Dads and children have fun.
Parenting Workshops - Monthly workshops for all Dads. Outcomes - Dads recognise the importance of their role. Parents learn new skills to provide better care for their children.
Young Dads - 1:1 support for vulnerable Dads aged 25 and under. Outcomes - Give Young Men the skills and confidence to enjoy the experience of being a Dad.
Music Tuition - Weekly lessons for Young people (7yrs+) and families. Outcomes - Music making is more accessible. Encouraging self expression and improving self esteem.
P.S. Dads Rock - New Dad support service. Outcomes - Dads with perinatal mental health issues feel less isolated, supported and more able to care for their baby.
