The Scottish Government has created a programme to try and reduce the rate of Heart Disease and Stroke in the Scottish population over the next 20 years.
As part of this programme we will be inviting eligible people between 35-60 years old into the surgery for an appointment to assess their individual risk factors and overall chance of developing these conditions in the future.
Once we have analysed a persons data we will inform them of their results and offer appropriate lifestyle advice, or a follow up appointment to discuss any abnormal results further.
If you have been offered an appointment you can use the icon below to opt in and we will contact you to arrange an appointment.
Please note the appointment will last approximately 20 minutes and will include some simple data collection such as weight, height, waist circumference. We will ask about your smoking status and family history of heart disease and stroke. Lastly we will check your blood pressure and take some blood tests.
